Parkers Terms Of Service

We believe in being upfront and clear about how we work. Below you’ll find all the key information about our gearbox warranties, service requirements, and customer responsibilities. It’s not just the small print — it’s how we make sure everything runs smoothly and fairly for everyone.

No Oil Supplied Unless Fitted by Us 

Gearboxes are supplied without oil unless they are fitted by our team. It is the customer’s responsibility to fill the gearbox correctly — incorrect oil levels are the most common cause of failure.

Warranty Coverage

Private Vehicles: 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first)

Commercial Vehicles: 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever comes first)

All warranties cover faults in construction or defective parts only.

Warranty work must be returned to us at the customer’s cost.

Any delay in reporting or returning a faulty unit may void the warranty.

A mandatory check-and-adjust service is required within 500 miles or 4 months (2 months for commercial vehicles).

Gearbox must be installed by a competent, qualified professional.

No warranty will apply if:

The gearbox is incorrectly fitted or filled.

The vehicle has been used for racing, off-roading, or modified (e.g., lowered suspension, remapped ECU, non-standard wheels).

Continued use after a fault has been detected causes further damage.

Abuse or misuse is identified by our technicians.

Unit Policy
Gearboxes are rebuilt using your original unit or a suitable replacement at our discretion. Rebuilding your specific unit may take longer if requested.

Storage & Collection
Vehicles must be collected within 48 hours of work completion. A storage fee of £25 per day applies thereafter. Vehicles are left at the owner’s risk and must be taxed and insured while on our premises.
